    Good

Im 20 years old and travelled alone, it seem a bit to posh for me personally and the furniture was a bit old fashioned also going on postcode be sure to know that the road is very long and it takes to to the wrong end of it unless you have the correct door number (802)

    Nothing the hotel was apalling

We stayed for two nights this past weekend, on arrival the male receptionist was surly and far from welcoming. The bed was lumpy and did not have a comfortable nights sleep. Attempted to shower in the morning only to find the water coming out in lumps with no spray feature at all and frankly I could urinate with more pressure! Entered the restaurant for breakfast to be greeted by the tattooed waitress who clearly had a full time job working as the circus tattooed lady, waitressing being a part time option. Opted for the cooked breakfast which arrived quite promptly which was probably explained by the mushrooms having a quick dip in the deep fat fryer and the half tomato not even having the courtesy of a warm up under the grill let alone being cooked. Coffee as ordered did not arrive and by ten minutes after I had consumed some of the edible elements of the breakfast and had to hunt down some staff to re-order I can only presume the tattooed lady had gone off to her circus job. Day 2 was no better, you could not water flowers with the shower and the cooked breakfast option was self service and of very poor quality.Sticky tables and no tablecloths, yuk. If you were to consider a healthier option of toast, make sure you have sufficient time available as you will get more heat out of a Toc h lamp, having placed a slice of granary bread in the toaster it was clearly heating but not browning which had the effect of drying the slice out, leaving me with something resembling an oversized Ryvita.

    Superb

Pleasant, value for money, no complaints. Looking a little jaded, but that is part of it's charm.

    Very good

We only stayed at the Hotel over night and so did not have the chance to sample all of its facilities . However the room was clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was good. I would stay there again .

    Very good

Breakfast in the conservatory was very nice as was the food. The staff were polite and helpful.

The only thing that was not very nice was that our room overlooked the air-conditioning unit from the kitchen and at times was noisy and the smells from the kitchen permeated the room. There also was a cleaning cupboard around the corner from the room which had visibilty straight into our room.

Friendly service in bar & restaurant and friendly help & advice at front desk.

Only problem as far we are concerned was lack of outside telephone line.

    Exceptional

Staff friendly and efficient, room comfortable and clean, good value for money, continental breakfast was included in room rate and there was a very good choice; cereals, juices, good quality bread for toast, ham, cheese, yoghurts, fresh fruit and pastries. we had been a bit concerned about negative reviews for this hotel, but, glad to say, our experience was entirely positive. we had booked for two nights, but as we booked them at different times, were due to have double room for first night, then change to twin for second. the twin room was a much lower rate, but despite that they offered us the chance to stay in the double for the second night at the same rate as the twin room would have been - we were very impressed.

we didn't like the coffee that was served at breakfast, but there were plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room, so we just used those when we went back to our room after breakfast. also, tv was in a slightly awkward place in room - to the right of the bed, might have been so that noise to other rooms from the tv is reduced, but we would have prefered it to be at the end of the bed.

    Fabulous

Reasonable rate for double room including continental breakfast...really good value. We paid to have an English breakfast and it was very good at £5 odd. Nice appearance from the front and good parking facilities.

The name of the hotel has changed to something else like Hamptons and we drove up and down a couple of times looking for the Larkfield. We stopped at Hamptons to ask about the Larkfield and we were told it was the same hotel only they were undergoing a name change. Once inside, we wanted something to eat but no food available from 2.30 till 6.30pm so we drove down to the Premier Hotel to get a bite to eat.
